Independent Thinkers and Confident Learners
Our students are encouraged to enjoy learning while challenging themselves to think critically and explore multiple perspectives.
As their studies grow in complexity, they develop strong enquiry skills, discover new possibilities, and build confidence in their ability to make decisions and solve problems. Every step of their Secondary journey at Cosmo is designed to inspire curiosity and prepare them for the challenges ahead.
Purposeful Learning
Real-world contexts, project-based learning, and collaborative assessments ensure that learning is purposeful, motivating, and relevant.
Areas of Learning
A Curriculum That Links Ideas Across Subjects
With embedded technology and an individual laptop programme, students develop the digital and academic skills needed for success from an early stage.
We encourage students to follow their natural curiosity, with abundant opportunities to engage in subjects they are passionate about, both inside and outside the classroom. As they progress, students learn to organise their own time and develop discipline, independence, and self-motivation. Daily tutor group meetings and frequent one-to-one sessions with senior staff or the school counsellor provide structure, guidance, and support for personal growth.
Student Assessment
Progress and Assessment
Students are pulled, not pushed towards learning. This creates an environment in which they want to achieve their best because of an innate love of learning, not the looming threat of grades.
Cosmo students achieve excellent results, culminating in the national egzamin ósmoklasisty at the end of Year 9, before progressing confidently to High School IGCSE and A Level study.
We don’t use points, grades or percentages. Instead, assessment is weighted and growth-focused, considering three areas:
• Knowledge & Understanding
• Enquiry & Investigation
• Effort & Attitude
Sharing Your Child’s Learning
Dialogue around learning is a central pillar of our approach to assessment in which students feel trusted and empowered to take ownership and achieve their best.
Students and parents receive frequent feedback via the “Stars & Steps” system on digital learning portfolios, which capture work, celebrate achievements, and guide next steps.
